Recommended Column Configuration for Index Pages

The columns displayed on the Clarification index pages (the Clarification inbox), their order, and their appearance are fully configurable. This page describes the recommended base configuration from Bilendo — a proven starting point that we recommend all customers adopt and that you can then adapt to your processes.

Where to configure this

You configure the columns of the Clarification index page in the index page settings:

  1. Open the list view of Clarifications and click Table Layout > Interface Templates at the bottom right.

  2. Select the interface template there, e.g., Standard.

  3. In the interface template, select “Clarifications” > Configure.

  4. The Configure Columns — Clarifications dialog opens.

  5. Use + Add Column to add a field from the Available Fields; Remove All Columns clears the selection.

  6. Change the order by dragging and dropping the handle (⠿) of the respective column card.

  7. For each column, you can set the sort order, alignment, font weight, color, and background; to remove a single column, use Delete.

  8. Save your changes with Save (or discard them with Cancel).

Recommended Columns & Order

The following sequence moves from identification (customer, document) through processing status (responses, status, next action) to the time- and amount-related fields:

10Open AmountThe open amount of the document.—Left

Note: "Sorting: Default" indicates the columns that are used for sorting by default (here the read indicator, customer, and creation and due dates). All settings can be adjusted for each column at any time.

Other Available Fields

Beyond the recommended baseline, the dialog offers additional fields that you can add as needed:

Number, Workflow, Response Template, Region, Business Unit, Sales Unit, Document, Debit Note Total, Debit Note, Topic, Team, Dunning Stop, Assignment, Due Date, Customer Balance, and a Comment column.

Tip: Add Workflow and Topic if your team runs several workflows in parallel, or Team and Assignment if distribution across teams is the main focus. Otherwise, keep the baseline configuration lean — additional columns noticeably increase the width of the index page.
