Credit limit decision PDF

Credit limit decision PDF

Overview

The decision PDF records why a credit limit was approved or declined. It brings together everything that mattered for the decision: customer data, requested and new limit, approval steps, key figures, risk profile, credit information, credit covers, securities, the calculation of the limit suggestion, balance sheet analyses and additional information. You use it as evidence for your internal control system and your auditors. Bilendo records a separate version for every decision, which shows exactly the state at the time of the decision, even months later.

How it works

When a version is recorded

Bilendo records a new version of the decision PDF when

Earlier versions stay unchanged. The automatic extension of an expired, unchanged credit limit does not record a new version, because it only continues an earlier decision.

What is recorded

A version stores the data of every section of the decision PDF at the time of the decision. Later changes no longer affect it, in particular:

Every version states the date and time of the state it shows in a State as of line.

Language and time zone

Bilendo stores the data, not a finished PDF. The decision PDF therefore always appears in the language and time zone of the person opening it, with the same figures.

Who can see the decision PDF

Every user with read access to credit limits can open the decision PDF, as before. Balance sheets and credit control areas are only shown to viewers who may see them elsewhere in Bilendo; all other sections are the same for everyone.

Settings and filters

You define the layout of the decision PDF under Settings → Risk → Credit Limit Decision PDF. There you can

The "Credit Limit Decision" section always comes first. A preview shows the result right in the settings.

A version keeps the settings that applied at the time of the decision; later changes only apply to new versions.

New: Decision PDF keeps the state of the decision

Until now, the decision PDF was rebuilt from current data every time it was opened and could show different figures weeks later, for example after an exchange rate changed. Now Bilendo records a separate version for every decision and every approval step (see "When a version is recorded" and "What is recorded"), and all versions remain available in the credit limit history.

Frequently asked questions

Will the decision PDF show the same figures in six months?
Yes. A recorded version no longer changes, even when exchange rates, balance sheet analyses or customer data change.

Which exchange rate is used for balance sheet values in a foreign currency?
The rate valid at the time of the decision. The balance sheet analyses section states the rate used and its date for every converted currency. If no rate was available for a currency, the amount stays in its original currency rather than being converted at a later rate.

Why can't a colleague see a section that I can see?
Balance sheets and credit control areas follow the viewer's access rights. Whoever may not see a balance sheet in Bilendo does not see it in the decision PDF either.

Can I see what a reviewer saw at their approval step?
Yes. In a multi-step approval, every validation and approval step records its own version. You open it in the credit limit history with the PDF icon in the row of that step.

Are older decisions recorded retroactively?
No. Decisions made before versions were introduced keep showing current data.
